How I overcame anxiety

For most of my adult life, I struggled with anxiety and panic attacks. I believe that nothing happens by accident, and that everything on this Earth is a part of a larger plan – and that my illness is not an exception. After finally being able to cure myself from this predicament (with a combination of Ativan and psychotherapy) I believe that I am a better man for it, and that it’s my duty to the world to share my story. Hopefully, someone will be able to benefit from it. I know that I was able to find great solace and encouragement when I found out that I was not alone with this problem, and that there are millions of others who deal with anxiety every single day of their lives.

My symptoms first started in the first year after I graduated from high school. I was at work, taking a break, when I started experiencing a disturbing shortness of breath and trouble breathing. It quickly worsened, and I was completely unable to breathe – it felt horrible, like there was an big arm choking me. My heart started pounding, my pulse was racing, and I started panicking – I honestly believed that I’m experiencing a heart attack.

Luckily for me, it only lasted for two, maybe three minutes, but it felt like an eternity. As you would expect, the incident left me quite worried – I knew something was seriously wrong, I just didn’t know what. The sensation happened again the next day, and for the next few weeks, I lived in a constant fear of a heart attack – I genuinely thought that I might die at any moment. I went to a clinic to get my heart checked out, but the doctors there told me that there was nothing physically wrong with me, and that I was in perfect health.

As much as I hoped that it will go away, the attacks continued, and even became more and more severe. I was in constant fear, and I was unable to function normally and relax – it was like there was a huge dark cloud over my head. Finally, after several visits and a myriad of tests, my doctor asked me about my personal life.

I told him how I was under a lot of stress – I’ve just moved into a house with my wife, and we were waiting for our first child. The money was tight, and there were bills to pay, with the prospect of another mouth to feed and all the doctors bills that were quickly multiplying. I was working two jobs, and I didn’t really have time or the energy for myself and my wife. The doctor suggested that the massive amount of stress that I was under might have resulted in the development of anxiety, and that I should talk with a psychiatrist. He also prescribed some Ativan for me, and told me that it will be able to quickly take care of my panic attacks

Treat anxiety with Ativan

Anxiety disorders, panic attacks and nervousness has become much more common problem in the recent years and man has a lot of problems to deal with them today without the help of medications and drugs. The environment just does not allow a man to deal with this problem alone. You can no longer count to ten. Today, if you want to keep your calm or regain it, you need to take medication.

But it is dangerous to take medication on your own and certainly anxiety medications, so you will need a prescription from your doctor. Based on your problems, and the severity of your anxiety, he will prescribe you a drug from a benzodiazepine family of drugs. Usually, the prescribed drug of choice is Ativan.

Ativan is prescribed to anxiety patients, but don’t let this be a signal to take it every time you fell sort of anxious. This is a normal human feeling in stressful situations. You can feel anxious before you ask your girlfriend to marry you, a student will feel anxious before an exam, a football player before an important match. None of them need to take Ativan. It is if a situation comes that you feel anxious without a visible reason that you need to take Ativan. Shortness of breath, pressure, feelings of fear or panic that you can’t find reason to, chest pain or fast heart beat are just some of the situations that call for the usage of Ativan.

Ativan is in some countries called Lorazepam, It works on the human brain by influencing the production of a certain neurochemical called GABA which has a function of sending chemical messages in-between different parts of the brain. The brain of the person suffering from anxiety works in a abnormal state. This state is caused by imbalance of GABA and other neurochemicals. Ativan works to restore the balance of these neurochemicals in order for your brain to again function normally.

It is used to relax people who are suffering from either acute or chronic anxiety, as well as depression and panic attacks. Giving Ativan to anyone who does not have these problems is not recommended as it can cause dizziness or depression. In other words, do not take Ativan if your doctor hasn’t prescribed it to you first.

The usually prescribed dosage is 0.5. 1 or 2 mg 2 or three times per day. Taking more than this is not recommended, especially to people who have or had problems with drugs or alcohol or both. The reason for this is that in higher dosages Ativan can become dependable on and there is a strong possibility that you might experience a variety of different withdrawal symptoms which are listed on the package.

Ativan is best used in combination with a interview with psychologist, but the most important thing that you need to do in order to stop the anxiety attacks is to establish some habits that will help you calm your nerves like different relaxation techniques, meditation or deep breathing.

Anxiety can be treated using two kinds of treatments and these include psychotherapy such as talk therapy and secondly, anxiety medicines such as Ativan.
